There are so many wonderful things
about being LDS and a young single adult living in Provo, Utah. Given this set
of circumstances though, there happen to be a plethora of social pressures. It
is all too easy to get caught up in trying to fit in or be a part of the social
norms. Sometimes I catch myself making decisions just because it is what
everyone else is doing or, in my mind I’ve made the assumption that it (being
whatever choice I’ve made) is what is expected of me. What the heck? No wonder
I have felt a little lost. Instead of deciding who I want to be, I have been
letting social norms and expectations dictate my decisions. By observing others successes and joys, I have
been doing my best to "find" happiness.
But truthfully I have been wandering.
New motto adopted.
It's Simple, Short & Sweet.
Thanks Thomas S. Monson for the words of wisdom and new mantra to live by.
